DMEPOS Competitive Bidding - Upcoming Deadlines for Round 2021
Two Important Reminders for Round 2021 of the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Bidding Program
DBidS Registration Closes this Friday, August 16, 2019
Registration to request access to add the DMEPOS Bidding System, DBidS, will close on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 8:59:59 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time – no authorized officials (AOs), backup authorized officials (BAOs), or end users (EUs) can register to request access to add DBidS after registration closes and, therefore, will not be able to bid. Registration to request access to add Connexion, the program’s secure portal, always remains open. However, we recommend you request access when adding DBidS.
Please visit the Competitive Bidding Implementation Contractor (CBIC) website for registration instructions, including the CMS Enterprise Portal User Manual, the Registration Reference Guide for DBidS and Connexion, Registration Troubleshooting Tips, and DBidS and Connexion User Role Table.
As a reminder, all bids must be submitted in DBidS and required documents must be uploaded in Connexion by 8:59:59 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time on September 18, 2019. Bidders must meet certain eligibility requirements when submitting a bid to be awarded a contract under the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program.
Covered Document Review Date (CDRD) is on Monday, August 19, 2019
If you are bidding in Round 2021 and have not yet uploaded the required financial documents in Connexion, you must do so on or before August 19, 2019, the covered document review date (CDRD). If you meet this deadline, you will be included in the process for reviewing a covered document and be notified of any missing required financial documents. Don’t wait – upload your required financial documents today!
The CBIC customer service center at 877-577-5331 will be open until 11:59:59 p.m. on the CDRD, August 19, 2019, to assist bidders with CDRD questions or issues.
The process for reviewing covered documents only determines if a required financial document(s) is missing. It does not indicate if required financial documents are acceptable, accurate, complete, or in accordance with the Request for Bids (RFB) Instructions. Bidders who upload their required financial documents in Connexion by the CDRD will be notified within 90 days after the CDRD if any required financial documents are missing. An email will be sent to the registered AO, BAO(s), and EU(s), if applicable, to alert them that a notice has been posted in Connexion identifying any missing required financial document(s). These bidders will be required to upload their missing financial document(s) in Connexion within 10 business days of receiving the notice in Connexion. After the bid window closes, bidders may only upload missing financial documents requested through the process for reviewing covered documents and cannot submit any other documents.
For more information, please review the Process for Reviewing Covered Documents fact sheet, Required Financial Documents fact sheet, the Uploading Documents in Connexion Quick Reference, RFB Instructions, and the on-demand series of webcasts on the CBIC website.
The CBIC is the official information source for bidders and bidder education. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) cautions bidders about potential inaccurate information concerning the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program posted on websites other than the CBIC website. Bidders that rely on this information in the preparation or submission of their bids could be at risk of submitting a non-compliant bid. Visit the CBIC website for valuable resources and tools and to subscribe to Email Updates.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the CBIC customer service center at 877-577-5331 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, during the registration and bid windows. Hours will be extended until 9 p.m. prevailing Eastern Time during the last two weeks of the registration and bid windows.
