Single Payment Amounts

Below you will find new single payment amounts (SPA) for items included in the Round 1 Rebid of the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program. Under the program, the existing DMEPOS fee schedule payment amounts will be replaced with the single payment amounts for selected items when the program is implemented on January 1, 2011, in the nine competitive bidding areas (CBAs).

The MMA (Medicare Modernization Act of 2008) requires the amounts paid under the competitive bidding program be less than the amounts payable under the existing payment schedule. Round 1 Rebid is projected to result in payment amounts that are an average of 32 percent less than Medicare's fee schedule rates for the nine product categories included in the program.
